Conditions of employment

Our terms of employment include salary, an annual allowance (equivalent to 1/12 of the monthly salaries paid out), 8% holiday allowance, an Employee Benefit Budget, budget for personal development, travel allowance and a pension scheme. To support your development, Rabobank awards a development budget of € 1.400 per year to all internal employees. It can be spent over a period of three years.

At Rabobank we have an Employee Benefit Budget (EBB) where you can make your own choices that suit your personal circumstances and wishes. The EBB amounts to between 9% and 11% of your monthly income depending on your salary scale. You are free to use this budget as you choose to buy extra hours of leave, save for your pension or have it paid out to you each month.

At Rabobank, we have hybrid workplace: a type of work environment that combines aspects of remote working and in-office working. We call this way of working: Rabo@Anywhere. Rabobank offers employees various facilities such as working from home facilities, a work-from-home allowance and a travel allowance. All internal employees of Rabobank are provided with a laptop and a cell phone as a matter of course. When you have completed your trial period you may also place a one-off order with a Rabobank preferred supplier for a desk, office chair and/or monitor.
Depending on whether you work from home or travel to the office, you will receive work-from-home or travel allowance. The working-from-home allowance is € 40 per month, based on an average working week of 5 days. If you travel to the office, you will receive a compensation for your commuting. Are you travelling by public transport? Then your receive 100% reimbursement of commuting costs.
Due to the hybride workplace, employees do not receive a standard travel allowance. If a member of staff does come to the office, they can claim their travel costs.

The annual leave entitlement for an average number of working hours of 36 hours per week is 151.2 hours per calendar year. Employees can buy additional hours of leave, at their own discretion, from their Employee Benefit Budget. On the following holidays you are free: New Year’s Day, Easter Sunday and Easter Monday, King’s Day, Ascension Day, Whit Sunday and Whit Monday, Christmas Day and Boxing Day. We also have a Diversity Day. This can be a self-chosen holiday or a day that according to religious or philosophical beliefs counts as a holiday, for example Good Friday, Eid al-Fitr or the Festival of Lights.

At Rabobank, we also think about the future. That’s why we have a pension scheme. The pension scheme is a Collective Defined Contribution scheme. The maximum payable by the employee is 3.5% of pensionable salary.
Collective Labor Agreement
