Hybrid working: Your office anywhere
At Rabobank you’re given a lot of freedom in your work. Together with your team, you decide the locations and working hours that are the best fit for your job and your team.

What is hybrid working?
For us hybrid working is all about flexibility in how, when and where we work. That could be online or face-to-face, at home, at the office or somewhere else. You and your team decide on the balance that’s right for you and for them.
What’s the reason for hybrid working?
At Rabobank we fully embrace the many benefits of hybrid working. It contributes to a good work-life balance, which in turn is good for our employees’ well-being and motivation.
Choose where and when you work
Our employees tell us that they need flexibility and freedom. That’s why we offer them a hybrid working environment. That means you can choose where and when you work, in consultation with your team. We make sure you have the options and facilities to do your job well.
A Good Work-life Balance
Working from home on a regular basis reduces your travel time, giving you more time for other important things in your life. You and your team decide on the balance that’s right for you and for them. It’s good for your physical health and mental wellbeing.

Productivity
For some tasks you may find it more effective to work from home than in the office. For instance, if your work involves intense concentration or lots of online meetings. At other times it can be more productive to be in the same physical space as your colleagues, for creative sessions and learning events. You can interact with co-workers at one of our office locations in different parts of the country.
Working for the world around us
Hybrid working helps us achieve our mission: Growing a better world together. Flexible digital working makes us more accessible for our customers. And the reduction in the number of commuter journeys helps us reduce our carbon footprint and contribute to a more sustainable society. Everybody wins!

Tips for working from home
Hybrid working has blurred the boundaries between work and private time. Which is why we encourage all our employees to adopt new habits to keep up their energy levels during and after the working day.
- Switch off: make sure that private time really is private time. Turn off notifications and put your telephone and laptop away.
- Time to focus: plan focus time so that you can focus fully on your work without distractions.
- Daily mile: take a walk every day to clear your head.
- Shorter meetings: we’re shortening the length of all internal meetings from 60 to 50 minutes, and from 30 to 25 minutes. So that you have a break to stay fresh!
Working from abroad
Would you like to work from abroad for a period of time? For example, to visit family or take a workation? Rabobank offers the possibility to combine work and travel. Naturally, it must align with your responsibilities, so it always requires consultation with your manager. It also depends on factors such as local laws and regulations, and the safety of the country you wish to work from. But if everything is in order, you have the opportunity to temporarily perform your work from another country.
This is how we give you the flexibility to do your job in a way that suits you.
