As Product Owner for the IAM IDP Active Directory (On-Premises) squad, you will lead one of the most critical IAM platforms within the bank. You will work with a highly skilled team of Active Directory experts and guide them through an important transformation: from a traditionally operated infrastructure platform towards a highly automated, standardized, and zero-touch service aligned with Rabobank engineering standards.

This role is about much more than backlog management. You will provide direction, challenge existing ways of working, build strong stakeholder relationships, and help create a culture of collaboration, ownership, continuous improvement, and positive communication.

You understand how to balance platform stability, security, compliance, and operational excellence while delivering tangible business value. You are capable of operating in an environment with strong technical experts and know how to create alignment, foster teamwork, and drive change.

Your Area & Team

The IAM IDP On-Prem squad within the IAM Foundation Cluster is responsible for authentication and directory services based on Active Directory. The squad provides critical identity services that support IAM capabilities across the bank.

The team consists of highly knowledgeable technical specialists who play a key role in maintaining the security, stability, and resilience of our authentication landscape. The coming years will focus on increasing automation, standardization, platform maturity, and operational excellence.

As Product Owner, you will be the catalyst for this transformation.

Key responsibilities

Lead the transformation

• Define and execute the vision for the Active Directory platform.
• Drive the transition towards a highly automated, zero-touch production environment.
• Promote standardization, simplification, and engineering excellence.
• Stimulate a mindset of continuous improvement and innovation.

Build a high-performing team

• Foster open, constructive, and professional communication.
• Help the squad embrace collaboration, ownership, and customer focus.
• Create an environment where experts work together towards shared outcomes.
• Coach and challenge the team to adopt modern Agile and DevOps practices.

Manage the product

• Own and prioritize the product roadmap and backlog.
• Balance business value, technical debt, risk mitigation, compliance, and operational needs.
• Align dependencies across IAM, Security, Infrastructure, and other technology domains.
• Ensure platform investments contribute directly to Rabobank's IAM strategy.

Deliver secure and compliant services 

• Maintain security-by-design principles.
• Ensure alignment with risk management, compliance frameworks, and DORA requirements.
• Deliver a future-proof, resilient, and scalable authentication platform.
• Keep products within the bank's risk appetite while driving innovation.

Lead the journey towards a standardized, highly automated, and zero-touch Active Directory service that aligns with Rabobank engineering principles.

2. Enable a culture change

Guide a team of experienced specialists towards a more collaborative, transparent, and customer-focused way of working, with strong stakeholder engagement and positive communication.

3. Define and deliver the product vision

Create and execute a roadmap that balances security, compliance, operational excellence, and business value while supporting Rabobank's IAM strategy.

You and your talent

We are looking for a Product Owner who combines strong stakeholder management and leadership skills with a solid understanding of IAM and infrastructure platforms.

You bring:

• Proven experience as a Product Owner in a complex technology environment.
• Experience leading organizational or cultural change within expert teams.
• Strong coaching, influencing, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience driving automation and operational excellence initiatives.
• Knowledge of Agile ways of working; PSPO certification is a plus.
• In-depth understanding of Identity & Access Management and Risk Management.
• Knowledge of Active Directory and authentication platforms is highly preferred.
• Understanding of security and IAM industry standards (CISSP or similar is a plus).
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build bridges between technical experts and business stakeholders.
• The courage to challenge existing practices and drive continuous improvement.
