Being yourself works
At Rabobank, we’re working toward a culture where everyone feels welcome. We value our differences and use them to collaborate more effectively and make better decisions. We do this step by step, paying attention to what’s going well and to the areas where we can continue to improve.
By being open to different perspectives, we’re creating an environment where colleagues feel heard. That helps us build an organization where people enjoy working—and where we truly understand and serve our customers.

Why Diversity, Equity & Inclusion

Inclusion Agents
The Inclusion Agent Community consists of colleagues who volunteer their time to promote more diversity, equity, and inclusion within Rabobank. They give presentations and facilitate conversations in which teams reflect together on everyday situations, doubts, and dilemmas.
These sessions create space to share personal experiences and different perspectives. This helps raise awareness and supports us in building a work environment where everyone can feel welcome and safe. Our goals & ambitions
Rabobank works every day to build a culture where differences can be visible—and valued. Diversity, equity, and inclusion (DE&I) help us work better together and make better decisions. Our DE&I approach is centered on collaborating from different perspectives. It’s not a final destination, but an ongoing process in which we continuously learn and improve.
We see that teams become stronger when colleagues feel welcome and have the space to share their ideas. That’s why we invest in initiatives that contribute to an inclusive workplace. Step by step, we’re building an organization where people enjoy working—and where we can better understand and support our customers.
Reduce the gender gap
We believe in equal opportunities, regardless of your gender. Women make up 36% of the first management layer of the group board and if we look at the total workforce, 49% are women. We are actively working to further balance this out. To achieve these goals, we not only use KPIs, but we also support women with internal and external opportunities for networking and mentoring through RaboWomen, Women in Tech and Talent to the Top.

Fair opportunities for everyone
The place where you were born and the culture you come from should never determine whether you are hired for a position you are qualified for. With this belief in mind, we have been actively working on recruiting, hiring and retaining status holders in collaboration with our partner Refugee Talent Hub for many years. This has resulted in having already welcomed many new colleagues in all different domains and scales, and we are always working on growing this number.
Employees with an extra challenge
