You & your role

You will be joining Rabobank as a Security Professional where you safeguard security within Account & Payments Factory (APF) and Payments & Savings (P&S). You will be part of a collaborative and forward-looking environment where we work together to build secure and resilient digital solutions, enabling squads to embed security, identify the core of security challenges, and translating general security controls into clear domain or asset specific security measures and guidance.

Tribes APF and P&S together deliver and run Rabobank’s critical Daily Banking processes, forming the backbone for secure, always-on customer services. We are responsible for safeguarding the integrity and availability of high-volume transaction flows and customer data, ensuring resilience, compliance and robust services and underlying processing platforms. We provided 24/7, fast, reliable, and efficient processing of payment transactions and current account services within Rabobank. For a brief impression of our tribe have a look at this video.

How do you create practical security impact across teams, platforms, and technology domains?

  • Translate central security requirements into practical guidance that development teams can apply directly within their operational and development environments.
  • Strengthen security maturity by supporting squads with risk management, architecture reviews, threat identification, and secure-by-design implementations across critical banking platforms.
  • Collaborate closely with engineers, architects, Tech Leads, Domain Control Officers, and the CISO organization to continuously improve security awareness and resilience.

You will work in a collaborative environment where security, technology, and business teams work together to strengthen Rabobank’s digital services. For this vacancy we will hire two security professionals, one within APF and one within P&S. Together, you will help shape, align and improve cross-domain security governance for both tribes.

You & your talent

Which strengths help you succeed in a role where collaboration, security, and ownership come together?

  • Bachelor's degree in Cyber Security, Computer Science, Business Informatics, or relevant related field;
  • Relevant certifications or training in cybersecurity (e.g., Comptia Security+, SSCP, CCSP, CRISC, CISA, ISO27001 or similar);
  • CISM and CISSP certified (or equivalent) are considered a plus;
  • General understanding of (Retail) banking processes and their core IT components.
  • Minimum of 3 - 5 years of experience working with information security or risk management in IT environments, mainly within (Retail) banking or the financial services sector;
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, threat modeling, secure development practices, and risk management;
  • Experience working with architecture reviews, security designs, and technical risk assessments and risk management in general;
  • Ability to identify security patterns early to prevent potential issues and drive a proactive risk management approach;
  • Guide, educate and collaborate effectively with technical teams, security experts, and business stakeholders.
