You and Your Job
As a relationship manager, you will be successful when you're able to help clients in finding solutions to manage their funding needs by originating, executing and managing bespoke financial structures.
Contribute to the day-to-day coverage of existing clients within the risk appetite established by the Bank by originating, executing and monitoring of credit facilities, as well as assisting the more senior relationship manager as well as Coverage Bankers. Help originate new accounts in the commodity space leading with either lending products or other products of the banks. Contribute in developing and executing business plans for TCF North America within the Risk Appetite Statement (RAS) of TCF and WBNA regionally and globally. The main geographical focus is North America with a subsidiary focus on Canada and Central America.
Job Responsibilities
- Contributes to the day-to-day coverage of existing clients within the risk appetite established by the Bank.
- Origination of new accounts by actively visiting prospective clients together with Coverage on their premises and attending industry conventions relevant to the industry, leading with either lending products (senior debt) or other products of the bank.
- Contributes to originating and executing (new) transactions for the portfolio and continuous monitoring of existing portfolio.
- Assists Credit Analysts in the credit application process, including structuring, client’s business and financial analysis, industry research, financial modelling and ongoing maintenance of new and existing clients within his/her portfolio.
- Knowledge of specific banking product including but not limited to the following - Trade Commodity Finance, CRTM/OTC, SIP, Syndications and other market products.
- Ability to identify sound revenue generating opportunities for the Bank.
- Knowledge of regulatory and legal framework with which to execute.
Your Promise to Us:
To be considered for the Relationship Manager role, you must have:
- Bachelor’s Degree in related studies or equivalent work experience
- Formal credit training program
- 5+ years of relevant experience in the Trade and Commodity Finance Space, US experience is preferred.
- 5+ years of lending experience, including selling traditional lending products as well as cross selling more sophisticated structured trade and commodity finance and corporate finance products.
- Ability to work/manage in matrix environment.
- Strong managerial and communication skills (written and verbal); marketing skills, credit skills and negotiation skills
- Leadership/management of client financing businesses
- Ability to travel regionally up to 50%

Salary Expectations:
Target Hiring Range: $140,000.00 - $225,000.00
This position is subject to the terms of [RAF/Rabobank/RDS]’s compensation plans and policies. It is anticipated that the position will pay within the target hiring range. The range is reflective of the desired primary physical work location and may be adjusted outside of the projected range based on geographical differentiation if the actual work location of the hired candidate differs from the desired primary location, or for other lawful reasons. Further, all full-time regular positions include all other benefits provided to [RAF/Rabobank/RDS] employees, including healthcare benefits, 401k matching, vacation, sick leave, parental leave, possible discretionary bonuses and all other benefits that are all governed by and subject to ERISA plan documents and eligibility.
