Business Analyst Risk Model Engineering

We are looking for a Business Analyst Risk Model Engineering to be part of a diverse team that brings together finance, banking, risk modelling, analytics, and software engineering expertise.

This role is expected to be graded in salary grade 9, the actual grading will depend on the seniority and experience of the chosen candidate.

You and your job

As a Business Analyst Risk Model Engineering, you are a sparring partner for your team members and various stakeholders such as the business, architects, and other Risk Model Engineering teams.

You will be part of the IFRS9 Core ECL team. This team is positioned in the Value Stream Small and Medium Enterprises of Tribe Credit Analytics’ Area Retail.

Although positioned within RSME, the team acts as the central provider of IFRS9 logic, standards, and infrastructure that all value streams within Tribe Credit Analytics use to calculate their provisions.

In this role, you help translate business requirements into technical specifications. You liaise with architects and the different value streams on the IFRS9 calculation framework and architecture, and the implementation of common components in the value streams’ IFRS9 calculators.    

Tribe Credit Analytics bring talented people and their quantitative skills together to bridge the gap between business and IT, and to ensure that our risk models meet our customers’ needs and are complaint with applicable standards and regulations.

Responsibilities

Your work will be a combination of the following:

  • Support value streams with their IFRS9 model life cycle activities regarding shared logic, standards and infrastructure.
  • Stakeholder management towards various teams within Tribe Credit Analytics and across the IT chain.
  • Translate business requirements into technical specifications.
  • Help design architecture to build and run IFRS9 provision calculation functionality.

You and your talents

  • Master or PhD degree in a quantitative field.
  • At least 1-4 years of relevant work experience.
  • Results-driven and a team player.
  • Self-starter and good at taking ownership.
  • Experience with stakeholder management.
  • Experience with IFRS9.
  • Experience with software development and IT chains.
  • Willingness to work Agile.
