Would you like to learn and contribute to an existing AI Product that combines data from every angle of the bank, using predictive machine learning models and is currently adapting generative and agentic AI techniques?
Summary
As a Junior Data Scientist at Rabobank, you will learn to build and maintain artificial intelligence solutions in practice. Within the Area Analytics Accelerations you will join the CLUE (Client Lifecycle Understanding Engine) team and contribute to building and improving models and analytical solutions to improve our client interaction, like client clustering models and propensity models for product suggestion. You will primarily be using traditional machine learning techniques complemented with generative and agentic AI. The team is responsible for the end-to-end product, from design to actual production environment.
You have a combined interest in Data Science, MLOps and Integration engineering, where Integration engineering is the discipline of connecting applications, platforms and data sources.
You will work with Python, Databricks, traditional machine learning, generative and agentic AI to create scalable and reliable solutions for complex banking challenges.
The role is part of the Advanced Analytics Early Career Program.
What will you learn and do as a Junior data scientist?
- How to develop, maintain and improve analytics solutions (e.g.: data engineering, ML Engineering, Model Estimation/Evaluation, Prompt Engineering).
- Combine statistical knowledge, data insights with technical infrastructure needed to build reliable and innovative AI solutions.
- Learn how to translate a business request into a data science solution.
- Work with experienced colleagues to turn analytical ideas into practical applications.

Together we achieve more than alone
We believe in the power of differences. By combining people's differences, we become an even better bank. We are curious about what you will bring to our Area Analytics Accelerations.
You will join a collaborative team that includes several current and former Early Career Program participants. You will work with colleagues who enjoy exploring technical subjects, sharing knowledge and helping each other develop. You do not need to be the loudest person in the room, but you should be willing to explain your ideas and work constructively with others.
Your development in the Early Career Program
In the Rabobank Early Career Program, you will work on your personal development and the technical content of your role for 18 months.
You will begin in a junior role within one team and learn mainly through practical experience. You will take part in workshops and training modules with other young professionals. Experienced colleagues will support your technical development, and a buddy will help you find your way within Rabobank.
You will also receive guidance on your personal development and build a network within the Advanced Analytics community. There is room to contribute ideas for events, training and knowledge-sharing sessions.
