How do you help 8,000+ engineers work faster, smarter and with less manual effort?

Help shape the way engineers at Rabobank design, build and collaborate every day. As DevOps Engineer – Orchestration, you work on reusable workflows, integrations and automation capabilities for the Engineering Journey. You help build a scalable, consistent and developer-friendly platform that makes engineering journeys easier to offer and consume across the organisation.

You & your role

As DevOps Engineer – Orchestration, you know the secrets of building reusable automation that helps engineers move with confidence. You develop workflows, integrations and orchestration patterns for the ANOW! platform, working closely with service providers, platform engineers and product owners.

You work in an area with 8 squads. One squad focuses on orchestration and workflow enablement. Together, you reduce manual work, improve engineering experiences and help teams across Rabobank use scalable automation patterns.

Examples from practice

  • Designing reusable workflow templates that help teams offer orchestrated engineering journeys in a consistent way.
  • Building integrations with REST APIs, webhooks and event-driven patterns for services used across the organisation.
  • Improving existing workflows and continuous integration and continuous delivery practices so teams can work more smoothly.

Facts & figures

  • 36 hours per week.
  • 8,000+ engineers use the Engineering Journey to design, build and collaborate every day.
  • Over 48,000 Rabobank colleagues worldwide.

Top 3 responsibilities

  • Design, develop and maintain orchestration workflows that help teams automate engineering journeys through the ANOW! platform.
  • Build reusable workflow templates and automation components that reduce manual work and improve developer experience.
  • Develop integrations with REST APIs, event-driven architectures and callback-based patterns for scalable service onboarding.

You also contribute to platform standardisation, scalability and maintainability.

By improving engineering practices and optimising workflows, you help create a platform that supports teams today and can grow with them tomorrow.

Together we achieve more than alone

What could you build when your work helps thousands of engineers every day?

We believe in the power of differences. By combining people's differences, we become an even better bank. We are curious about what you will bring to our team at Engineering Journey.

‘You really get the space here to drive product innovation that impacts thousands of engineers daily, and you can feel the transformation you are creating,’

The teams of Engineering Journey helps engineers across Rabobank design, build and collaborate every day. Collaboration is our way of working; as one technical team within Rabobank. You work with service providers, platform engineers and product owners to make orchestration easier, more reusable and more scalable.

Work on yourself & the world around you

How do you want to grow while making work easier for colleagues across Rabobank?

For us, your development and that of society go hand in hand. That is why we want to invest in you and work together to create a better world. We summarise this in one sentence: "at Rabobank, you work on yourself and the world around you simultaneously."

This is reflected in your personal development budget, our hybrid work environment and a good work-life balance. You can also work on banking matters for our personal and business clients, as well as on social issues like the food and energy transitions.
