You and Your Job

As a Corporate Risk & Treasury Management (CRTM) Summer Intern, you will support the North America CRTM team in delivering derivative-based risk management solutions to corporate clients across interest rate, foreign exchange and commodity markets. Working directly with sales professionals, you will gain exposure to client relationship management, market analysis, derivative products and treasury risk management.

You will help analyze market information, prepare client deliverables and communicate findings to team members while developing a practical understanding of how corporate treasury departments use derivatives to manage financial risk. Your work will support tailored hedging strategies, deepen client relationships and advance Financial Markets’ broader commercial goals.

Job Responsibilities

• Prepare client presentations, pitch materials, hedging proposals and market commentary.
• Analyze interest rates, foreign exchange and commodity market developments to support client solutions.
• Research client industries, treasury trends and risk management practices.
• Assist with derivative pricing analysis, transaction support and business development initiatives.
• Maintain sales activity reports, client pipeline information, analytics, market monitoring tools and dashboards.
• Preparing market updates and commentary for internal and external distribution.
• Supporting ad hoc projects related to client strategy, business development and product initiatives.

To be considered for the Corporate Risk & Treasury Management (CRTM) Summer Intern, you must have:

• Current enrollment in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program in finance, economics, business, mathematics or a related field.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills with an interest in financial markets and corporate treasury.
• Ability to interpret market information and communicate findings clearly to team members.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with Bloomberg or other financial market resources is a plus.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with careful attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively, manage multiple priorities and contribute in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.  Rabobank is unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa for this position

Internship Overview:

Rabobank’s internship program is designed to provide a mutually beneficial relationship and growth opportunity for Rabobank and collegiate students. To aid in this endeavor, students will be matched with a mentor and provided the necessary professional development opportunities to achieve their goals. The internship will be a full time 40hr a week position, 10-week, paid program.

Salary Expectations:

Target Hiring Range: $49.50/hour

This position is subject to the terms of Rabobank’s compensation plans and policies. It is anticipated that the position will pay within the target hiring range. The range is reflective of the desired primary physical work location and may be adjusted outside of the projected range based on geographical differentiation if the actual work location of the hired candidate differs from the desired primary location, or for other lawful reasons. Further, all full-time regular positions include all other benefits provided to Rabobank employees, including healthcare benefits, 401k matching, vacation, sick leave, parental leave, possible discretionary bonuses and all other benefits that are all governed by and subject to ERISA plan documents and eligibility.
