I am a Product Owner at Data Center Management (DCM). Next to this PO role I also drive Sustainability within the CITO domain. DCM provides the necessary power, cooling, and rack space for all Rabobank IT services and apps that do not run within (public) Cloud environments. These apps and services run from within our Data Centers (DCs) in Best, Boxtel, Utrecht, Amsterdam, London, Slough, and New Jersey. These apps and services also need networking, storage, databases, and of course a lot of attention for security.. All together quite a bit of hardware which uses a lot of energy. This is the link to sustainability… where there is lots of consumption, there are also options for savings. Besides discussing with our customers about energy-efficient hardware we also work closely together with our colleagues from Facility, and Critical Infrastructure to look at all possible energy-saving options to be able to continuously improve our services and remain top of class in Data Center services.
