• Later that day, Mark Oost delivered a visionary keynote titled “Unlocking the Power of GenAI Agents”. These multi-agent systems promise to revolutionize efficiency and adaptability, tackling challenges that traditional isolated AI models cannot address.
• On the final day, Lize Raes explored the future of software development with AI. Lize highlighted the transformative role of artificial intelligence—particularly large language models—and demonstrated how these technologies are reshaping the way engineers code, collaborate, and innovate. By focusing on breaking down knowledge silos and seamlessly integrating AI into business processes, the session inspired engineers to embrace AI as a catalyst for accelerated development and groundbreaking innovation.

Innovation in action: technology, data, and AI

This Engineer’s Week demonstrated the undeniable impact of technology, AI, and data in driving the transformation. Several key sessions showcased how these technologies are not only shaping our future but also enabling engineers to tackle challenges and innovate more effectively.

The discussions on Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) and Azure highlighted our use of advanced AI technologies to improve business processes and enhance operational efficiency. The session Keep People Away from Data addressed the importance of secure data practices, particularly when dealing with business-critical information. For me, the most meaningful takeaway from Engineer’s Week was realizing how much we owe our success to the people around us. While technology pushes boundaries, it’s how we come together—sharing ideas, learning from each other, and growing as a team—that truly makes the difference. The event served as a powerful reminder that when we embrace diverse perspectives with respect and openness, we’re not just solving problems—we’re creating something far more significant.
