What is the referral program?
As an employee, you know exactly what it’s like to work at Rabobank. You know your colleagues, the teams, the challenges, the culture, and the vision. That’s why you are in a great position to help us inspire potential candidates to join Rabobank!
Do you have a friend, former colleague, or sports teammate who would be a great fit for Rabobank? And is there a suitable vacancy available? Then refer them through the referral program. If your candidate is hired and remains employed for at least two months, you will receive a gross reward of €1,500. A win-win-win!
How does it work?
- Read the rules and terms & conditions on the Intranet.
- Go to Workday and find the vacancy through the internal job board or the Referral app.
- Click ‘Refer’.
- Ask the candidate for their permission.
- Enter the candidate’s details, such as their name and email address.
- The candidate will receive an email with a link to the application form and can upload their CV and motivation letter themselves. There is nothing more you need to do.
- The candidate follows the standard selection process.
- If the match is successful, you will be notified when your referral bonus is paid out.
- If your candidate is not hired, you will not receive a notification.

- Only Rabobank employees working in the Netherlands can refer people who are not already employed by Rabobank in the Netherlands.
- The referral program applies only to vacancies in the Netherlands.
- You can refer candidates for any vacancy in the Netherlands that is listed on Rabobank.jobs.
- Please do not refer someone lightly. Is your candidate truly suitable for the role? Make sure to review the job requirements carefully first.
- Almost everyone can participate in the referral program, with the exception of interns, recruiters, and external workers.
- Are you a manager? In that case, you are not eligible for a referral bonus if the candidate would work directly or indirectly under your management.
- Are you an EK+ employee? You may refer an unlimited number of candidates. However, you are not eligible to receive a referral bonus.
No, you can only refer someone once and for one specific position in Workday.
However, there is no need to refer the same person for multiple vacancies. If your referred candidate is hired for a different role within Rabobank within 9 months of your referral, you will still be eligible for the referral bonus.
If your referral results in a successful hire, you will receive a gross referral bonus, paid through your salary as a one-time special payment. The bonus is paid after the new employee has been employed for at least two months.
Example:
The new employee starts on 1 August. On 1 October, they have completed two months of employment. Your referral bonus will then be paid together with your salary at the end of October.
No. Referral bonuses are only paid for candidates who have been referred through Workday before they apply.
If a candidate was not referred through Workday, or was only added in Workday after the application process had already started, no referral bonus will be awarded. Unfortunately, no exceptions can be made to this rule.
Yes, you can refer an unlimited number of candidates. However, you can receive a referral bonus a maximum of five times per calendar year.
If you are participating in a Young Professional Program, you can receive a referral bonus a maximum of three times per calendar year.
Have you successfully referred someone? And has that person been employed for at least two months and successfully completed their probation period? If so, your referral bonus will be paid together with your next salary payment. You will also receive a notification about this.
If you have not received your referral bonus, please contact HR Support. They will investigate the issue and resolve it as quickly as possible.

That is why you will still be eligible for a referral bonus if the candidate is hired within 9 months of your referral, provided that all other terms and conditions of the referral program are met.voor Rabobank. - Current external workers and interns cannot be referred as candidates.
- Current Rabobank employees cannot be referred through the referral program. Internal colleagues should apply for positions through the internal job board in Workday by accessing Internal Jobs.
- You are not eligible for a referral bonus if a current Rabobank employee is hired for another position within the organization.
