You and Your Job

As a WBNA Summer Intern, you will join the Middle Office team and gain practical experience organizing, analyzing, and reporting financial and operational information that supports the Wholesale Banking portfolio and the management of wholesale transactions.

You will work with recurring reports, transaction tracking tools, reconciliations, dashboards, and management information while collaborating with colleagues and internal stakeholders. This internship offers exposure to Wholesale Banking and the Middle Office’s role in supporting clients, transactions, operational controls, and informed decision-making.

Job Responsibilities

• Organize, clean, and validate data from internal reports and transaction tracking tools.
• Support recurring transaction, portfolio, and operational reporting, including basic P&L review.
• Reconcile reports and tracking tools, investigate discrepancies, and flag potential variances or unusual trends.
• Prepare dashboards, charts, presentations, and management information using Excel, Power BI, and PowerPoint.
• Contribute to ad hoc analysis, reporting improvements, process documentation, data quality, and workflow efficiency.

• Current enrollment in an undergraduate program in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, Data Analytics, or a related field, with a strong academic record.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret, validate, and summarize data accurately.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, data analysis, and reporting.
• Experience with or willingness to learn Power BI, PowerPoint, Word, and other reporting tools.
• Strong organization, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills, curiosity, initiative, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Internship Overview:

Rabobank’s internship program is designed to provide a mutually beneficial relationship and growth opportunity for Rabobank and collegiate students. This experiential learning opportunity provides practical application and skills development in a professional environment and is aligned with Rabobank’s commitment to recruit top talent in the communities we serve.  While employed as a summer intern, students will have the opportunity to prove their ability to learn and demonstrate key skills that will make them successful at Rabobank. To aid in this endeavor, students will be matched with a mentor and provided the necessary professional development opportunities to achieve their goals. The internship will be a full time 40hr a week position, 10-week, paid program.

Salary Expectations:

Target Hiring Range: $49.50/hour

This position is subject to the terms of Rabobank’s compensation plans and policies. It is anticipated that the position will pay within the target hiring range. The range is reflective of the desired primary physical work location and may be adjusted outside of the projected range based on geographical differentiation if the actual work location of the hired candidate differs from the desired primary location, or for other lawful reasons. Further, all full-time regular positions include all other benefits provided to Rabobank employees, including healthcare benefits, 401k matching, vacation, sick leave, parental leave, possible discretionary bonuses and all other benefits that are all governed by and subject to ERISA plan documents and eligibility.
