About the role

Rabobank’s Technology team within COO Domain delivers the secure, reliable & scalable technology that keeps our people & customers connected.

We are currently hiring for a Senior Quality Engineer - Mobile to join our Mobile Banking Squad.

In this role you will help shape the quality of mobile banking experiences used by customers across Australia & New Zealand by delivering secure, reliable & accessible mobile banking experiences, working across native iOS & Android applications, APIs & integrated services.

Top Role Responsibilities & Accountabilities:

  • Design & execute risk-based testing across iOS, Android, APIs & integrated customer journeys
  • Own, maintain & improve the mobile test automation framework.
  • Build reliable automated tests & integrate quality controls into CI/CD pipelines
  • Lead testing across functional, integration, regression, accessibility & production verification testing
  • Identify quality risks early & provide clear recommendations on release readiness
  • Lead defect triage & support severity assessment, prioritisation & resolution
  • Coach Engineers & help embed strong quality engineering practices across the Mobile Banking Squad
  • Support production releases, incident investigation & root cause analysis
  • Maintain test environments, devices, test data & automation assets required for delivery
  • Contribute to continuous improvement across testing, automation & production assurance

To be successful you will have:

  • A background in software testing or quality engineering with experience testing native iOS & Android applications, APIs & integrated services
  • Proven experience designing, maintaining & improving reusable mobile automation frameworks
  • Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines & release processes
  • Experience with risk-based testing, defect management, release assurance & production verification
  • Experience with API & web automation tools such as Postman, REST Assured, Selenium or Playwright
  • Experience using modern AI coding tools, such as GitHub Copilot or equivalent
  • Understanding of modern AI engineering concepts, including LLMs, prompt engineering, RAG, agentic workflows, evaluation & responsible AI
  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills
  • Experience guiding quality engineers & working within Agile delivery teams
  • Experience in financial services & mobile banking highly regarded

Location & Working Arrangements:

This role must be based in Sydney & offers a flexible hybrid working model with both in office & at home working.
