The role:

Rabobank has an opportunity for an experienced Infrastructure Project Manager (Road Manager) to join our Sydney team on a 12-month fixed-term contract.

This highly visible role will drive critical technology transformation & resilience initiatives, requiring exceptional delivery discipline, governance, & stakeholder management. Working closely with Product Owners & technical stakeholders, you will coordinate & oversee a broad range of infrastructure initiatives within our Technology Enablement capability, including:

  • Data centre relocation, transition, & decommissioning activities
  • Physical & virtual server migration & lifecycle management
  • Network & connectivity migration
  • Storage & backup platform transitions
  • Application & platform relocations
  • Disaster recovery & business continuity testing
  • Security, risk & compliance activities
  • Vendor & managed service provider engagement
  • Cross-functional dependency management & delivery coordination
  • Delivery governance, risk management, & stakeholder reporting
  • Operational readiness, cutover planning, & service transition management

Top Role Responsibilities & Accountabilities:

Working across multiple teams & stakeholders, you will provide execution leadership, governance oversight, delivery transparency & dependency management to ensure successful outcomes throughout the program lifecycle.

  • Facilitate discovery & planning activities to identify key deliverables, timelines, dependencies, risks, & stakeholders
  • Break down large-scale initiatives into manageable milestones in collaboration with delivery teams
  • Partner with Product Owners, Engineering Managers, Architects & squads to align delivery commitments, priorities & execution plans
  • Drive visibility of dependencies, risks, & impediments across teams through proactive stakeholder engagement
  • Monitor roadmap impacts arising from delivery changes or delays & escalate issues where required
  • Enable informed decision-making by providing clear reporting, transparency, & governance across all levels of the organisation.

To be successful, you will have:

  • Proven experience delivering complex infrastructure transformation, migration, technology lifecycle, & data centre transition programs within Agile delivery environments
  • Strong operational planning, cutover management, & delivery governance capability
  • Demonstrated success coordinating cross-functional teams, managing complex delivery dependencies, & driving execution across multiple concurrent workstreams
  • Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, including server migrations, virtualisation, networks, data centre relocations, & associated interdependencies
  • Excellent risk & issue management capabilities, with a proactive approach to identifying & resolving challenges.
  • Excellent communication & stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence & engage at all levels
  • The ability to build credibility, foster collaboration, & create alignment across diverse teams
  • Agile delivery experience & certifications (such as Scrum Master or SAFe) highly regarded
