About the role:

At Rabobank, resilience is at the heart of how we operate, helping our customers, communities & business navigate in an ever-evolving world.  Due to an internal promotion, we are seeking a Risk Resilience Manager to join our highly engaged Sydney-based team within the Security & Control function of the COO Domain.

Reporting to the Senior Manager, COO Risk & Control, you will be a trusted Line 1 resilience risk specialist, providing practical advice to help strengthen & evolve the COO Domain's operational resilience capability.  This is a unique opportunity to shape how resilience risk is understood & managed across business operations, technology services, & third-party providers. In this role, you will play a key part in uplifting Rabobank's resilience maturity & operational readiness, helping ensure our critical services remain responsive & resilient when it matters most

Top Role Accountabilities:

  • Provide specialist Line 1 resilience risk expertise & challenge across Business Continuity Management, IT Disaster Recovery & resource management activities
  • Analyse critical resource dependencies & identify resilience vulnerabilities, concentration risks & single points of failure that could impact the delivery of critical business services
  • Drive the continuous uplift of resilience capabilities by supporting resilience assessments, recovery capability reviews & risk treatment initiatives
  • Help strengthen the integration of Business Continuity Management, IT Disaster Recovery & broader resource management practices to improve end-to-end resilience outcomes & recovery readiness
  • Deliver meaningful reporting, insights & recommendations that support informed decision-making, governance & resilience maturity objectives
  • Support the COO Domain's operational resilience strategy, regulatory obligations and resilience culture through stakeholder engagement, advice & continuous improvement initiatives.

To be successful you will have:

We're looking for a strategic thinker with a passion for resilience & risk management, who thrives in complex environments & enjoys influencing positive change.

  • Demonstrated experience in at least one operational resilience discipline:  Business Continuity Management, IT Disaster Recovery, Technology Risk, Operational Resilience
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements, including CPS 230
  • A curious mindset, with the ability to identify vulnerabilities, dependencies & resilience risks across interconnected processes & processes
  • Exceptional written & verbal communication skills, including the ability to present clear insights & recommendations
  • The ability to influence & collaborate with stakeholders across business, technology & risk teams
