You and Your Job

As a Summer Analyst, Project Finance, you will support the structuring and execution of renewable energy and infrastructure financing transactions across the Americas. Working with experienced deal teams, you will contribute to financial analysis, due diligence, market research, and financing materials for projects involving solar, wind, battery storage, energy efficiency, data centers, fuel cells, and other technologies.

Through active participation in live transactions and portfolio activities, you will build expertise in project finance principles, renewable energy markets, financial modeling, and risk analysis. You will collaborate with colleagues across disciplines and experience levels while developing relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Job Responsibilities

• Assist with pitching, structuring, executing, and monitoring project finance transactions.
• Review financial models for renewable energy, infrastructure, and other project finance opportunities.
• Review key project and financing documents, including power purchase, construction, operations, and maintenance agreements.
• Draft internal transaction materials and conduct research on project finance topics.
• Support portfolio monitoring, including risk analysis, expansions, refinancings, and restructurings.

To be considered for the Summer Analyst, Project Finance internship, you must have:

• Be currently enrolled in an undergraduate program with an anticipated spring 2028 graduation date.
• Maintain a strong academic record with a GPA of 3.5 or above.
• Demonstrate a strong interest in renewable energy, infrastructure, and project finance.
• Be comfortable using Microsoft Excel and learning transaction-specific financial modeling concepts.
• Bring strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn quickly and think nimbly.
• Communicate and collaborate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.
• Be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without current or future employment visa sponsorship.

Internship Overview:

Rabobank’s internship program is designed to provide a mutually beneficial relationship and growth opportunity for Rabobank and collegiate students. This experiential learning opportunity provides practical application and skills development in a professional environment and is aligned with Rabobank’s commitment to recruit top talent in the communities we serve.  While employed as a summer intern, students will have the opportunity to prove their ability to learn and demonstrate key skills that will make them successful at Rabobank. To aid in this endeavor, students will be matched with a mentor and provided the necessary professional development opportunities to achieve their goals. The internship will be a full time 40hr a week position, 10-week, paid program.

Salary Expectations:

Target Hiring Range: $49.50/hour

This position is subject to the terms of Rabobank’s compensation plans and policies. It is anticipated that the position will pay within the target hiring range. The range is reflective of the desired primary physical work location and may be adjusted outside of the projected range based on geographical differentiation if the actual work location of the hired candidate differs from the desired primary location, or for other lawful reasons. Further, all full-time regular positions include all other benefits provided to Rabobank employees, including healthcare benefits, 401k matching, vacation, sick leave, parental leave, possible discretionary bonuses and all other benefits that are all governed by and subject to ERISA plan documents and eligibility.
