About the Role
The Manager, Compliance Control Room is responsible for supporting the implementation and ongoing maintenance of the Compliance Control Room function across ANZ, aligned to global and regional regulatory requirements.
You will play a key role in monitoring, advisory, and reporting activities relating to Market Abuse, Conflicts of Interest, and employee trading controls, while acting as a subject matter expert to the business and Compliance teams.
Key Responsibilities
Control Room & Monitoring
- Execute end-to-end monitoring activities across:
- Personal Account Dealing
- Gifts & Hospitality
- Alternative Investments
- Outside Interests
- Insider Designations
- Identify, investigate, and manage potential breaches or conflicts of interest.
- Maintain the regional insider lists and manage restricted lists and wall crossings.
- Oversee Control Room BAU activities, including mailbox queries and transactional clearances.
Policy & Advisory
- Develop, review, and maintain local policies and procedures aligned to global standards.
- Provide expert advice to the business and Compliance stakeholders on:
- Market Abuse
- Conflicts of Interest
- Support implementation of regulatory and policy updates.
Reporting & Risk Management
- Prepare reporting for senior management, committees, and boards.
- Manage and track compliance issues and findings in Archer.
- Perform control self-assessments and contribute to Control Room dashboards.
- Partner with stakeholders to remediate risks and strengthen controls.
Training & Engagement
- Deliver training on Control Room processes and compliance requirements (CAFE).
- Support onboarding and awareness programs for new hires.
- Promote a strong compliance culture across business units.
Continuous Improvement
- Take a data-driven approach to monitoring and reporting.
- Identify opportunities to improve, simplify and automate processes.
What You Bring
Experience & Qualifications
- Degree in Commerce, Business, Law, Economics or similar.
- 4–6 years’ experience in banking and financial services.
- Background in compliance, risk, audit, or regulatory environments.
- Experience in Control Room or Conflict of Interest management highly desirable.

- Solid understanding of:
