About the Role
Rabobank’s Global Service Centre, Asia Pacific, based in Sydney, provides operational support to Wholesale & Treasury businesses & their clients across the Asia Pacific region. The Lending & Agency team within Corporate Banking Services performs all aspects of loan processing, reconciliation, fees, settlement & confirmations processes.
Kick-start your banking career with Rabobank's Global Service Centre in Sydney. Supporting Wholesale & Treasury clients across Australia, New Zealand, Hong Kong, and Singapore, you'll join a high-performing team responsible for the smooth execution of payments & banking operations across the Asia Pacific region.
As an Officer - Lending & Agency, you'll gain exposure to international banking operations, working with cross-border transactions, client onboarding, reconciliation, & payment processing while building valuable banking & financial services experience.
The team works Monday to Friday from 12:30pm to 9pm so you must be willing & able to work hours these hours to support the Asia time zone. As we have a hybrid work environment, you will work a mix of days in the office & days from home.
What You'll Be Doing
- Monitor end-to-end transaction flows & resolve issues promptly to minimise disruption
- Maintain high standards of accuracy, completeness, timeliness & reliability in all operational activities within SLAs
- Monitor system interfaces to ensure accurate transaction input & lifecycle integrity
- Investigate, resolve, & escalate cash, system, transactional, data, & reconciliation breaks.
- Respond to payment & transaction-related inquiries in a timely manner
- Provide clients with guidance on payment formats, cut-off times, & regulatory requirements
- Support onboarding activities, ensuring correct setup of accounts & payment channels.
- Manage a client portfolio or asset class as part of team rotation.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies & external regulations (AML, Sanctions)
About You
We're looking for a motivated recent graduate with a strong willingness to learn. Banking experience is not essential - we value curiosity, initiative, & a positive attitude.
You'll bring:
- A degree in Business, Commerce, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline
- Exposure to banking, financial services, customer service, or APAC markets will be highly regarded but is not required
- Strong attention to detail & problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication & stakeholder management abilities
- The ability to manage competing priorities & work to deadlines
- A customer-focused mindset & eagerness to learn
- Availability to work Monday to Friday, 12:30pm – 9:00pm
