Shape the Future of Technology Banking in Germany

We are seeking a (Senior) Coverage Banker to help shape and grow Rabobank’s presence in the German technology sector, working collaboratively with clients and internal teams to create long-term value.

This is a high-impact client-facing role with ownership of key relationships and responsibility for sustainable business growth. You will act as a trusted advisor to senior decision-makers, originate complex transactions, and shape Rabobank’s long-term position in the German Tech market.

Backed by a strong balance sheet, an international platform, and deep sector expertise, you will play a key role in delivering Rabobank’s growth ambitions in Europe.

Prospect/Client Focus:

The role will focus on clients with EBITDA exceeding € 50 million and/or annual revenues above € 500 million, operating across the following subsectors:

• IT Services and Software: including enterprise software, business software, IT consulting
• Digital Infrastructure: Data storage, processing, cloud services, fibre networks, telcos and tower companies 
• Semiconductor: chip design, manufacturing, materials, and integration into end products

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead origination, structuring, and execution of lending, capital markets, and structured finance transactions
• Build and develop strong, trust-based senior-level relationships across the Tech sector
• Grow and deepen client relationships with a focus on long-term value
• Identify and develop new opportunities within the German Tech ecosystem
• Act as a sector expert, sharing insights and contributing to team success
• Collaborate with internal (product) teams to deliver tailored client solutions

Skills & Experience:

• Relevant experience (typically 7+ years) in corporate or investment banking, with a focus on Technology clients
• Experience contributing to origination and execution of complex transactions
• Strong network across corporates, banks, and financial sponsors/advisors in Germany
• Deep understanding of technology business models and scaling environments
• Demonstrated ability to drive revenue and manage (senior) client relationships autonomously
• Solid expertise in credit risk, capital markets, and structured finance
• Fluent in German and English
• Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to operate in a build-up / growth environment

With 40 years of presence in Germany, the Frankfurt branch has established a strong local platform and consists today of a dedicated team of around 40 employees. You will join the German Client Coverage team, which is responsible for managing Rabobank’s most strategic relationships in the German market.

In this role, you will also be part of the broader European Tech team, benefiting from its sector intelligence, credentials, product delivery capabilities, and strategic alignment across Europe.

Collaboration is central to our success. You will work closely with product teams and risk, supported by a pool of dedicated deal execution colleagues, credit analysts, and business development professionals based in the Netherlands.
