Join us on a 12‑month fixed-term contract as a Senior Business Analyst, where you’ll play a pivotal role in delivering a critical regulatory programme for the bank.

Working alongside the Deposit Takers Act (DTA) Programme team, you’ll partner with senior leaders across Risk, Compliance, Legal, Technology, and Operations to turn complex regulatory requirements into practical, sustainable business solutions for key Standards under the DTA.

This is an influential role where your work will shape how regulatory change is designed, delivered, and embedded across the organisation.

About the role | Mō te tūranga

This is a highly visible role where you’ll play a key part in bridging regulatory requirements and business execution, ensuring changes are practical, sustainable, and aligned to Rabobank’s operating model.

  • Regulatory and business Analysis
  • Translate DTA legislation and regulatory expectations into clear, actionable business and functional requirements
  • Maintain end-to-end traceability from regulatory obligations to business outcomes
  • Lead impact assessments across operating models, processes, data, and customer outcomes
  • Provide thought leadership on practical implementation of regulatory intent

Design & Delivery

  • Capture current state and design future state processes, policies, and controls
  • Develop high-quality artefacts including requirements, process maps, and decision logs
  • Partner with Technology and delivery teams to support system and process change
  • Support user acceptance testing, change readiness, and implementation activities

Domain-Focused Work

  • Outsourcing and third-party risk management
  • Operational resilience and critical operations
  • Crisis management and business continuity
  • Open Bank Resolution (OBR) readiness
  • Depositor Compensation Scheme (DCS) uplift

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Lead workshops and engage senior stakeholders across the business
  • Collaborate with Line 1 and Line 2 functions to ensure aligned, compliant solutions
  • Actively manage risks, issues, and dependencies
  • Contribute to programme planning, sequencing, and prioritisation

Quality & Assurance

  • Ensure high-quality, audit-ready documentation and artefacts
  • Support regulatory engagement and assurance reviews
  • Embed solutions into BAU operating models for long-term sustainability

About you | Ō pūkenga

You’ll be a senior business analyst with strong regulatory experience, who thrives in complexity and can translate technical requirements into practical, business-friendly outcomes.

Experience

  • 7+ years’ business analysis experience (including senior-level roles)
  • Proven experience delivering regulatory change ideally in banking or financial services
  • Strong experience working across complex stakeholder environments including with Risk, Compliance, and Legal teams
  • Experience across complex, multi-stream programmes (agile and/or waterfall)
  • Expertise in one or more areas: outsourcing, operational resilience, crisis management, Resolution Planning / OBR, Depositor protections schemes, CPS 230 or similar frameworks.

Knowledge & Skills

  • Strong understanding of prudential regulation and the financial services sector
  • Deep knowledge of operational risk, governance, and control frameworks
  • Advanced requirements elicitation, analysis, and traceability
  • Strong process mapping and business architecture capability
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and influencing skills
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication and facilitation skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capability
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity and challenge constructively
  • Tertiary qualification in a related discipline.
