You and Your Job

As a Summer Intern – Leveraged Lending, you will provide analytical, transaction, and marketing support to the Leveraged Lending team and client deal teams. You will assist Analysts, Associates, Vice Presidents, and senior bankers with transaction execution and new business development while learning how leveraged financing opportunities are evaluated, structured, approved, and closed.

Working alongside experienced professionals, clients, and product partners, you will gain hands-on exposure to financial analysis, modeling, valuation, risk assessment, and transaction structuring. Networking, mentoring, and group learning activities will help you strengthen your technical, communication, and collaboration skills.

Job Responsibilities

• Support the underwriting, approval, and closing of leveraged lending transactions.
• Build and review financial models to evaluate company performance, transaction structure, and repayment capacity.
• Research companies, industries, and market trends to support credit and business development analysis.
• Assist with risk assessment, valuation analysis, and preparation of transaction materials.
• Collaborate with deal teams and product partners on live transactions and client opportunities.

• Current junior pursuing an undergraduate degree, preferably entering senior year, in finance or a related field, or pursuing a master’s degree in finance or a related discipline.
• Demonstrate strong academic performance and familiarity with finance.
• Bring excellent quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Show advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Power BI.
• Apply exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in data handling and reporting.
• Communicate clearly and professionally in writing and in conversation.
• Work effectively in a team environment and engage confidently with multiple stakeholders.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.  Rabobank is unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa for this position.

Internship Overview:

Rabobank’s internship program is designed to provide a mutually beneficial relationship and growth opportunity for Rabobank and collegiate students. This experiential learning opportunity provides practical application and skills development in a professional environment and is aligned with Rabobank’s commitment to recruit top talent in the communities we serve.  While employed as a summer intern, students will have the opportunity to prove their ability to learn and demonstrate key skills that will make them successful at Rabobank. To aid in this endeavor, students will be matched with a mentor and provided the necessary professional development opportunities to achieve their goals. The internship will be a full time 40hr a week position, 10-week, paid program.

Salary Expectations:

Target Hiring Range: $49.50/hour

This position is subject to the terms of Rabobank’s compensation plans and policies. It is anticipated that the position will pay within the target hiring range. The range is reflective of the desired primary physical work location and may be adjusted outside of the projected range based on geographical differentiation if the actual work location of the hired candidate differs from the desired primary location, or for other lawful reasons. Further, all full-time regular positions include all other benefits provided to Rabobank employees, including healthcare benefits, 401k matching, vacation, sick leave, parental leave, possible discretionary bonuses and all other benefits that are all governed by and subject to ERISA plan documents and eligibility.
