You and Your Job

As a Summer Intern – Corporate Lending Energy Transition, you will provide analytical, transaction, and marketing support to the Corporate Lending team and client deal teams. You will assist Analysts, Associates, Vice Presidents, and senior bankers with transaction execution and new business development while gaining practical exposure to corporate lending and energy transition finance.

You will work directly with senior professionals, clients, coverage bankers, product partners, and the Energy Transition Research team. Through live assignments, networking, and group learning activities, you will strengthen your credit, financial analysis, communication, and collaboration skills while contributing to the team’s client coverage and portfolio priorities.

Job Responsibilities

• Assist with evaluating and executing corporate lending transactions, including credit analysis and transaction support.
• Prepare credit materials, client presentations, and internal approval documents.
• Conduct company, industry, and market research to support client coverage and business development.
• Build and analyze financial models to assess performance, cash flow generation, and creditworthiness.
• Collaborate with deal teams on live transactions, portfolio monitoring, and financing opportunities.

• Be currently enrolled in an undergraduate college or university program.
• Demonstrate strong academic performance and an interest in finance, accounting, economics, international business, or a related field.
• Bring strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret financial statements, cash flows, and key credit risks.
• Show proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word, with the ability to learn new tools quickly.
• Communicate clearly and professionally in writing and in conversation.
• Manage multiple assignments with accuracy, attention to detail, and a strong work ethic.
• Work effectively both independently and collaboratively while demonstrating intellectual curiosity and sound judgment.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.  Rabobank is unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa for this position.

Internship Overview:

Rabobank’s internship program is designed to provide a mutually beneficial relationship and growth opportunity for Rabobank and collegiate students. This experiential learning opportunity provides practical application and skills development in a professional environment and is aligned with Rabobank’s commitment to recruit top talent in the communities we serve.  While employed as a summer intern, students will have the opportunity to prove their ability to learn and demonstrate key skills that will make them successful at Rabobank. To aid in this endeavor, students will be matched with a mentor and provided the necessary professional development opportunities to achieve their goals. The internship will be a full time 40hr a week position, 10-week, paid program.

Salary Expectations:

Target Hiring Range: $49.50/hour

This position is subject to the terms of Rabobank’s compensation plans and policies. It is anticipated that the position will pay within the target hiring range. The range is reflective of the desired primary physical work location and may be adjusted outside of the projected range based on geographical differentiation if the actual work location of the hired candidate differs from the desired primary location, or for other lawful reasons. Further, all full-time regular positions include all other benefits provided to Rabobank employees, including healthcare benefits, 401k matching, vacation, sick leave, parental leave, possible discretionary bonuses and all other benefits that are all governed by and subject to ERISA plan documents and eligibility.
