About the role | Mō te tūranga
We're looking for an analytical and detail-oriented Enhanced Due Diligence Analyst to join our Financial Economic Crime team. In this role, you'll play a critical part in protecting the bank and our customers by conducting enhanced customer due diligence, investigating higher-risk customer relationships, and supporting Rabobank's Anti-Money Laundering and Countering Financing of Terrorism (AML/CFT) obligations.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone with banking, compliance or financial crime experience who enjoys investigating complex customer structures, identifying risk, and working in a highly regulated environment.
What You'll Be Doing
- Conduct Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) reviews for higher-risk customers and complex customer structures.
- Assess and investigate AML/CFT, customer due diligence and name-screening alerts.
- Review and verify KYC/CDD documentation to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Complete customer and vendor name screening, impact assessments and risk evaluations.
- Support FATCA and Common Reporting Standard (CRS) obligations.
- Identify and escalate suspicious activity in line with internal procedures.
- Partner with teams across the business to ensure regulatory obligations are met while delivering a positive customer experience.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance efficiency and effectiveness across compliance processes.

You’re passionate about protecting customers and the financial system, bringing sound judgement and a risk-based approach to complex investigations.
We're looking for someone who brings:
- Previous banking, financial services, compliance or financial crime experience.
- Strong knowledge of AML/CFT, KYC and Customer Due Diligence requirements.
- Excellent analytical and investigative skills with a risk-based approach to decision making.
- The ability to assess complex ownership and customer structures.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
- A collaborative mindset and the confidence to work independently.
- ACAMS certification or equivalent experience will be highly regarded.
