Typescript Developer

Team Matrix is seeking an experienced front-end developer eager for an exciting challenge to develop software with impact.

We develop, maintain and support the core runtime libraries of the internal Senses platform used by over 120 teams within the bank and seen by more than 8 million customers every day.

As part of Team Matrix, you’ll provide teams with the core components, services, and tools, that empower them to develop customer journeys quickly and easily. You’ll also ensure that the Senses Platform stays up to date with the latest and greatest developments in front-end technology and be actively working on the next generation of the platform.

Technical Skills 

A Typescript engineer with emphasis on building scalable, framework independent solutions with a solid understanding of browser APIs.


  • Solid understanding of JavaScript and Typescript
  • In-depth experience with a modern JavaScript framework (Angular, React, Vue, etc)
  • Comfortable creating elegant solutions without artificial complexity

Nice to haves:

  • Experience working with a large mono-repo and NX
  • Experience creating or maintaining code used mainly by other developers
  • Experience with other parts of our tech stack (see below)
  • Experience creating CLI scripts

Soft skills 

Great communication skills and thinking ahead are necessary. You’ll often need to align with other developers, architects and POs to uncover all use cases. You’ll need to defend your design decisions, while also being flexible and accepting of different viewpoints when you’ve missed something. By thinking about how your design decisions will affect and impact different contexts you try to create flexible APIs that are future proof.


  • Thinking of the bigger picture and being able to think about long term impact
  • Open minded and appreciative of different opinions / solutions
  • Collaboration skills (Pair programming, mobbing, coordinating work, etc.)
  • Willingness to help and coach others within and outside of the team
  • Excellent communication skills
