Business Lending has the goal to become “the best bank in business lending” and your squads play a key role in realizing that goal. During the lifecycle of an organization a business client can encounter some rough times. Focus for your squads is to deliver unique IT and non-IT deliverables, that prevent, cure and recover our business clients from financial distress. With this we support our colleagues in their daily work and also capture all the necessary data that is needed to meet regulatory obligation. As Tech Lead within the Tech Domain Business Lending you are responsible for these 4 squads.
DevOps squads are the foundation of our IT organization. They are self-organizing within a mandate. As Tech Lead you make this possible. You ensure that they can do their job by solving barriers and ensuring that other teams that deliver to them are productive. You coach the squads in the transition to high performing engineering and drive the adoption of automation, you also make sure that the squads work according tech standards and implement necessary tech priorities.
The Business Lending Tech department is responsible for all the IT within the tribe Business Lending. Where the Tribe Business Lending support business clients with financial solutions, such as a loan, credit facility, lease and factoring solutions. With this context, it is easy to understand that Business Lending not only plays a crucial role for Rabobank, but also for the whole Dutch economy and society.

You are responsible for building the Engineering Culture. As part of that, you are HR responsible for the internal colleagues within the 4 DevOps squads (currently 12 colleagues). This means that you conduct development, performance and assessment interviews for those employees.
And you also work closely together with our strategic IT partners for the external employees to build sustainable teams. You are not only responsible for the correct composition of your teams, but also for the optimization of knowledge and (soft) skills.
Besides focus on people, you are as system owner also responsible for specific chapter IT topics, such as risk, security and continuity. And you are responsible for improving the Engineering Journey by focussing on IT improvements, standardization and automation.

Academic level of work and thinking in the field of Computer Science;
Minimum 3 years of experience in the IT sector;
Experience in the field of IT development and continuity in a managing role;
Experience with HR responsibility;
Knowledge of DevOps teams, scaled Agile, IT automation;
Dutch & English (business level, writing and speaking);
You have an entrepreneurial profile, are curious about how others are doing, you ensure sharpness in the discussion and you challenge your colleagues;
You are a solid discussion partner in the business, radiating seniority. You play a pivotal role by weighing the interests and risks together with the business. You keep your back straight in difficult discussions.
