A bit about the role
The Senior Manager of Risk Data is the Data Owner for the Risk division and responsible for servicing the data requirements of the division. This includes maintaining existing data processes and developing new data processes to enable the strategic direction of the division and uplifting the data management practices in alignment to Rabobank’s data management framework.
The role will requires people management experience and technically sound expertise in data to manage the successful prioritisation of BAU activities against the strategic deliverables for the division. This includes meeting requests from internal parties along with Regulators, Auditors and Head Office. These data requests are ever changing in nature and requires a high degree of problem solving skills to develop solutions.
Your key responsibilities and accountabilities will include:
Build and maintain purpose-built DataMart to provide accurate, timely and efficient data for the Risk division
Review and sign-off on production data processing activities including overseeing 2nd Line of Responsibility checks of Regulatory reporting
Perform data steward responsibilities such as data issue management
Responsible in solutioning and delivery of all data queries and request from Regulators, Auditors and Head Office
Implementing data risk management framework within Risk division.
Lead and manage a direct report, including setting of objectives, providing technical leadership along with coaching and feedback.
What we are looking for / About you
To be successful in this role you will need to possess:
7 years’ experience in managing risk data or implementation of data management framework
Strong understanding of risk / finance / banking products, services and internal functions
Strong skills and experience in analytical tools, e.g. Python, SQL, SAS, R, Power BI
Experience in data mart builds, documentation of data standards / data dictionaries
Solid experience in process mapping, data mapping and data reconciliation / gap analysis
Ability to produce comprehensive and clear reports to management on progress, issues and exceptions
