A bit about the role

Reporting to the Head of Product Compliance, we are currently searching for a Senior Manager, Product Compliance, to identify, evaluate and manage governance and compliance requirements across all areas of Products & Deposits.

This role will help to define the governance framework, monitor compliance with the framework, coordinate governance committees, define and monitor business processes, review and maintain a record of operational procedure manuals, create and analyse MI reports.

This will include keeping up-to-date on regulatory changes and assessing BEAR and upcoming FAR impacts.

The role will assist the broader Products and Deposits team to identify and assess product risks, compliance activities and regulatory change impact as well as provide SME contribution to the many regulatory change projects across the bank.

Key Responsibilities

  • Keeping up-to-date on regulatory changes and assessing BEAR and upcoming FAR impacts

  • Providing SME guidance in relation to the Product Lifecycle processes and championing these processes across the bank.

  • Driving a strong risk culture and risk & compliance management practices across the organisation.

  • Supporting the Head of Product Compliance in completing the required activities to establish a strong governance and compliance framework.

  • Managing and mentoring a team to ensure consistent adherence to our programs, processes and agreed OLAs.

  • Coaching the team and developing process capability, demonstrating a customer-centric approach to service and establishing a continuous improvement framework

  • Planning workload and resources, developing and maintaining OLAs and key performance metrics

  • Supporting the business in prioritising and resolving issues on the Product Lifecycle processes as they arise, based on feedback from the business, FLM & Assurance, Audit or customers.

What we are looking for:

To thrive in this role:

  • Minimum 5-7 years’ experience in the Financial industry, specifically product lifecycle and BEAR experience

  • Have a background in product compliance and governance is strongly preferred with industry experience in the Design Distribution Obligations is an advantage

  • Experience in working across multiple activities in a fast paced, dynamic, and collaborative environment

  • Be a strong people leader with ability to drive team performance by providing ongoing coaching and mentoring

  • Have prior working knowledge within e2e process analysis and improvement methodologies

You will be a natural of advocate of risk culture in order to drive risk management practises within the 1st line. This role works closely Operational Risk Function (1st and 2nd Line), Compliance Function (2nd Line), Internal Audit Function (3rd Line); therefore you will have solid stakeholder engagement skills, communication skills and ability to influence.
