Senior back-end software engineer SFIDA
Imagine being part of starting up a new innovation in a corporate startup-like setting. The topics are around data storing and sharing, data processing, APIs, platform development, identity, privacy.
Your main objective as a Senior back-end software engineer is to build a proof of concept for a new innovation proposition and to help in extending the solution into an MVP and prepare for scale. With your extensive skills and experience, you help in making technical decisions to fit for the short- and long-term goals of the proposition.
Your responsibilities consist of:
Delivering a working proof of concept from scratch to validate various hypotheses around data exchange, data integrity, data authorisation considering the impact on the performance.
Act as a valuable sparring partner to the solution architect validating feasibility of the design and technology choices; acting as a critical and constructive counterpart.
For the coming period you will be the only developer working for a new innovation;
In the future leading newly hired developers and transferring the knowledge for the MVP. You will be playing a key role in extending the POC to MVP (If the proof of concept is successful and it will be decided to continue with this new proposition)
With each other
Collaboration is key in the way we work. The Wholesale and Rural Innovation team joins forces to realize the innovation strategy. You will closely work together with various colleagues to prioritize features and lead realisation of the proof of concept.
With your talents
It is important that you recognize everything on the checklist below:
4-5 years of experience as a developer
Extensive knowledge of various DBMS technologies
Extensive experience with data modelling and various ways of data storage
Experience in programming languages such as Java or Python
Azure knowledge and experience (cloud infrastructure)
Fast learner, proactive team player, ability to lead and transfer knowledge to new hires in the future
Knowledge and experience with API development
Experience with innovation projects is preferred
