Rabo Investments – Intern – Private Equity

Imagine investing in SME and larger companies in Food & Agri, Healthcare and Sustainability, contributing to Rabobank’s key strategic pillars, and creating impact.  You will help to make it happen. Especially because, as our Intern, you will assist in originating and executing new equity investments that are visible and essential for the Rabobank Group. We are a hands-on investor and you will be part of a non-hierarchical diverse team, full of energy and ambition where teamplay and helping each other out to make the next step is essential.

You and your job
RI is the captive investment arm of Rabobank. RI consists of around 40 investment professionals and it is one of the growth initiatives within Rabobank, with the goal to rapidly increase our ca. EUR 2bn of assets under management. We invest in innovative growth companies and funds around the world, that are active in transitions Food & Agri, Sustainability, Health Care and Fintech.

As our Intern Private Equity, you will work closely alongside our teams that focus on the Dutch market, gaining experience in direct equity transactions. You will mainly assist in originating and executing new investments in de Benelux markets. In addition you will assist our deal teams in the portfolio management phase, working on value creation plans and buy & build opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Be part of the deal team, assisting in origination and execution of new transactions

• Assist in portfolio management by preparing relevant materials and analysis

• Help to develop quick scans and investment proposals to be put forward to the Investment Committee

• Conducting strategic/market studies, sector deep dives and target identification

You and your talent

• Fluent in Dutch language (due to Dutch client portfolio)

• Working level or 3rd or 4th year of university in Netherlands/Europe, preferably with a background in finance/economics, engineering or quantitative studies

• Strong modelling, structuring and financial analysis skills. Exposure/affinity to Food & Agri, Sustainability or Healthcare sectors is a plus

• Internship or working experience in VC/PE, M&A practice or strategy consulting is preferred
