As a Performance Engineer you are the one teams turn to with their challenging questions about stability and performance. You are able to help them bring performance awareness, set requirements, set up tests and strategies to assure and manage stability and performance from development to production.
You offer your expertise through consultancy, training, coaching and support in troubleshooting.

As a Performance Engineer at the Rabobank Performance Competence Center in Distribution, you are responsible for setting up, executing and analysing all kinds of performance tests and analyses. You will work together with the Performance Consultant to identify and resolve performance bottlenecks. You are independent and autonomous, while being part of the Performance Competence Center where you help colleagues to solve difficult performance problems as a team.You will also propose improvement proposals within your area of expertise. You have the chance to work on automating performance tests and analysis. As a performance engineer, you will be interacting with the DEVOPS teams and relevant stakeholders to help them, and transfer your knowledge to the teams so that the teams can be more autonomous in performance management.

•Good knowledge of software development and programming techniques and environments.
•Strong experience in application development and profiling from a performance perspective.
•Intrinsic drive to improve oneself and mentor others.
•Preferably proven experience with automation pipelines.

A strong drive to learn, flexibility, enthusiasm, excellent communication and analytical skills are essential for the role of Performance Engineer. In addition, it's important that the checklist below describes you:
- A Bachelor’s degree in IT or engineering or higher
- Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in performance testing and engineering.
- Expertise in scripting and load testing with HP LoadRunner and JMeter
- Expertise in performance analysis tools like HP Sitescope, WireShark and/or Dynatrace
- Experience with performance tuning (profiling) and/or monitoring with tools like Splunk.
- Knowledge of Front End performance testing in the browser and mobile .
- Knowledge of at least one, preferably multiple platforms: Windows, LINUX, UNIX, Z/OS, Cloud Foundry
- Knowledge of TCP/IP, HTTP, C/C++, HTML
- Knowledge of Siebel, SAP, WebSphere, Oracle, Java, Databases.
Understanding of software life cycle tools such as JIRA.
Understanding of Agile and DEVOPS way of working
Basic knowledge of risk based testing
Understanding the IT requirements and challenges in banking sector

•100 % reimbursement of the costs of home/work travel if you travel by public transport! Do you still prefer to travel by car or motorbike? Then choose a home/work travel allowance;
•a pension scheme, to which your contribution is only 5%.
