You and your future 

During this Young Engineering Professional Program at Rabobank, you work on your career as a Junior Performance Engineer you are the one teams turn to with their challenging questions about stability and performance. You can help them by bringing performance awareness, setting requirements, setting up tests and strategies to assure and manage stability and performance from development to production. 

In short/Examples 

  • You offer your expertise through consultancy, training, coaching and support in troubleshooting. In return, you get to learn in a challenging environment where you can enrich your knowledge and experience with a wide range of infrastructure, new technologies and applications aided by specialised tools. 
  • You are responsible for setting up, executing and analysing all kinds of performance tests and analyses. You will work together with the Performance Consultant to identify and resolve performance bottlenecks 
  • You will also propose improvement proposals within your area of expertise. You have the chance to work on automating performance tests and analysis. 
  • You will be interacting with the DEVOPS teams and relevant stakeholders to help them, and transfer your knowledge to the teams so that the teams can be more autonomous in performance management.

Your development as a young professional 
To become the specialist in your professional field, in the first 18 months you mainly attend training courses that relate directly to your specialism and that support your talent development. The courses are often given by experienced colleagues or trainers with a track record.  
You build your network, gain valuable experience and develop skills which will be of use to you later in your career. We also challenge you and other young professionals and trainees to work on various cases and challenges one day a week. 

Your development as a trainee 

As a trainee you'll work in different departments and get to know the full scale of our bank during the 'Know the bank' days and especially in the course of 4 different assignments each lasting about 4 months. You'll also develop yourself as a professional. On each assignment you'll be introduced to many details of how we provide financial services, including the different working processes and our unique culture.  
During the entire period of the traineeship you'll also follow our personal development program that includes a range of training courses to help you develop your knowledge and talents. We also challenge you and other young professionals and trainees to work on various cases and challenges one day a week.

You and your talent 

  • A Bachelor’s degree in IT or engineering or higher 
  • Knowledge of at least one, preferably multiple platforms: Windows, LINUX, UNIX, Z/OS, Cloud Foundry
  • Pré: knowledge of Siebel, SAP, WebSphere, Oracle, Java, Databases. 
  • Team player
  • Good communication skills
  • Eager to learn
