Rabo Corporate Investments is looking for an Investment Manager to strengthen its Dutch Venture Capital team (B4NL VC). Rabo Corporate Investments provides risk-bearing capital solutions, ranging from subordinated debt to straight equity and is labelled as one of the growth initiatives towards 2025, with the goal to invest an additional EUR 1bln in fast growing companies, SME clients, mid-market corporates and globally in VC and PE funds over the next few years.
B4NL VC is a new EUR 25m initiative that invests in early-stage innovative Dutch companies with a focus on (i) Healthcare, (ii) Sustainability and (iii) Smart Industries. B4NL VC focusses on Dutch companies and seed/series A investments between Euro 500k to Euro 2.0m, with the maximum investment per company of Euro 3.75m. In addition to realising financials returns, B4NL VC is aimed to contribute to Rabobank’s Banking for the Netherlands strategy and as such to contribute to accelerate the transitions currently underway in these sectors.
Identifying, sourcing and executing potential new investment opportunities;
Reading/reviewing business plans and information memoranda;
Involvement in all aspects of due diligence on new investments (business analysis, industry theses, competitive landscape, business/pricing models, and data collection);
Writing comprehensive proposals about investment opportunities, including those presented to the governing Investment Committee and other stakeholders;
Building relationships with VC investors, entrepreneurs and also relevant innovation colleagues inside the bank;
Internal and external marketing activities;
Portfolio management responsibilities;
Reviewing and understanding legal documentation;
Monitoring the venture capital and start-up landscape and industry trend

- Master’s degree level of thinking
5-10 years’ work experience, preferably with previous VC or entrepreneurial experience in Healthcare and/or Sustainability;
Excellent skills in financial modelling, sector analysis and due diligence processes, e.g. through background in M&A, transaction services, acquisition finance or other transaction-related advisory;
Strong analytical and communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills, and demonstrated ability to thrive in entrepreneurial environment with limited supervision. Energetic and enthusiastic;
Experience and know-how in the financial, strategic and legal aspects of VC;
A self-starter, needs little guidance and takes ownership;
- Fluent in Dutch
A strongly inquisitive mind and resourceful in cracking unknowns.
