Growth Marketer/Experiment Lead


You as an Growth Marketer/Experiment Lead making the difference by creating and managing online and offline experiments to support the development of tomorrow’s innovative initiatives. You identify and translate key customer problems and develop solutions our customers really want! To progress our solutions you are focusing on validating riskiest assumptions underlying the business model by developing and managing experiments.

Making a difference

Within our team, we focus on delivering product/market fit solutions that require thorough experiments that support user growth and satisfaction. You are key in implementing innovative product-market fit execution methodologies. Also the pre-stages of product market fit are important in this role, this is where your validation expert skills come in handy. You will be conduction high-impact experiments like: business case validation, value proposition testing and acquisitions channel validation. You’ll learn fast and collect knowledge about the whole business model of these innovative ideas! What more can you expect in this role?

  • You will be the go-to person regarding online activities. One week you are generating leads for a payment proposition for Small Medium Businesses, and the other week you will set up a landing page on a carbon proposition for small-holder farmers. Your main goal is to support Product Owners in validating their proposition and de-risking the business model design – in both a qualitative and quantitative manner. Some common activities are: the setup of acquisition channels in order to generate leads, optimization of ad campaigns to get the best results,  execution of interviews to understand the target audience and the analysis of survey responses to verify your learnings on a bigger scale. Finally, you support the proposition teams in defining success and make sure we test the right hypotheses.

  • High degree of freedom and responsibility in defining hands-on innovation experiments

  • Gather and analyse data to validate value propositions and turn assumptions into assets for evidence-based decisions, amongst others by setting up and managing key validation metrics and reporting key learnings

  • Guide team members to work according to the lean start-up principles

  • Setting up a professional customer research as a vehicle to inform thinking and discover problems worth solving, create persona’s and improve customer journeys

  • Understand and deliver the user experience our customers expect, own the jobs-to-be-done and understand the problem and needs thoroughly

  • Advice and influence leadership from a customer- and data driven perspective with regard to optimizing our value proposition scope

As part of a multi-disciplinary team you also work together with other Experiment Leads on one or multiple innovative initiatives.. You have a strong motivation to create value for the innovation landscape and helping business lines develop their ideas. it's important that you also recognize yourself in the checklist below:

  • 4+ years relevant working experience and affinity and knowledge of the innovation field and its dynamics;

  • Proven track-record working with innovation metrics and validation methodologies, online and offline

  • Hard skills and in depth knowledge of digital marketing and growth hacking:

    • Acquisition; Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, GoogleAds, SEO, Referrals, etc.

    • Activation; user flows, experiments, conversion optimization using quantitative proof (A/B testing, usability testing, interviews

    • Analytics and Tracking; dashboards, event tracking, Tealium/GA

    • General understanding of Metrics

  • Experience in innovation methodologies and principles like lean-startup and you know how to apply and integrate lean-startup principles within the team

  • Strong analytical and conceptual skills, ability to measure and analyse data

  • Combine quantitative and qualitative insights (focus on quantitative) to determine market needs and opportunities

  • Understanding the Dutch language is a must have and needed to successfully fill this position.

  • Basic coding skills to implement tooling, build webpages, create/connect API’s, understanding of front- and backend environments is a plus

  • Have a track-record in customer development: deeply understand the (experience) needs and behaviour of our customers and apply professional interview and research techniques is a plus
