Digital Marketing Manager

Job Overview & Purpose:  
Develop, deliver and optimise digital marketing solutions to support the digital marketing strategy and achieve the commercial objectives of Rabobank & RaboDirect New Zealand (RDNZ).

Globally and locally, the bank runs one of the world’s pre-eminent food and agribusiness research units. 

We are structured in three core banking businesses:
• Rural financial services and business banking offering a range of customised financial products and services to primary producers and ‘beyond-the-farm-gate’ in the food, agribusiness, beverage and related manufacturing and service sectors
• Corporate financial services works with both large corporations and middle market operations in the food, agribusiness, beverage and related manufacturing and service industries. In this role you will be responsible for the efficient development and timely delivery of the website migration and social platforms onto Rabobank's Global digital platforms. You're a customer advocate and are willing to get stuck in to deliver the best online user experience for Rabobank and our clients. . The scope of this unit is commercial marketing strategy and execution to drive the broader business objectives of the entire New Zealand operation.

As a member of the RDNZ Marketing team, the Digital Marketing Manager is responsible for the delivery of effective digital marketing activations and content and their continued improvement for the Rabobank/RaboDirect brand in New Zealand. The Digital Marketing Manager will support the Marketing team in the delivery of key digital projects both internally and externally.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
• Project lead for the migration of the NZ website and social channels onto the Global digital platforms.

• Management of digital and content agencies.
• Delivery of an integrated digital roadmap and implementation plan.
• SEO and AdWords management – work with the digital agency to ensure online advertising is optimised and effective – ensure that all above the line activity is aligned to Search Engine Optimization (SEO)
• Monthly reporting on digitral activity
• Customer cross sell digital initiatives – prepare and articulate the customer data requirements based on the marketing campaign needs. Work with the Senior Product Manager to identify product opportunities by customer segments.
• Customer data and digital email marketing – assessing what options we have to design and implement marketing campaigns.
• Development of Rabobank's social media strategy, working with the wider marketing team to plan and execute social content across the digital platforms.
• Managing digital marketing activity using Agile project management methodology.
• Website content management and building webpages.
• EDM sends and compiling of results with post campaign analysis – CPA, CPC
• Map out user journeys for all digital marketing campaigns
• Ensure all compliance and legal requirements have been met and all approval processes followed and documented.
• Reporting on digital marketing campaigns, providing success rates and recommendations.
• Expert advisor to the marketing team on digital content and channels, technology advancements, competitor activity
• As projects arise - manage the front end sites redevelopment, mobile banking, customer on boarding, digital tooling and cloud based solutions
• Design and develop the digital marketing activity to align to all above the line activity – this will require understanding marketing campaign objectives and designing an online fulfilment process.
• Work with the business to identify opportunities on how we can improve customer service and provide more customer self-serve functionality on the website.
• Website optimisation – personalisation and AB testing
• Expert advisor to the marketing team on digital content and channels, technology advancements, competitor activity
• Provide management and leadership for the Digital Marketing Specialist.
• Development and implementation of strategic digital marketing initiatives: in order to meet prospecting, sales and cross-sell targets (30%)
• Reporting & Monitoring: provide campaign analysis and testing reports, insights and recommendations. Manage and maintain the tracking of all digital marketing activities (20%)
• Optimisation and organic growth: manage the continual optimisation and improvement of activities across the NZ digital ecosystem, channels and content to drive conversion in-line with the RDNZ digital and content strategy (20%)
• Delivery: develop and deliver best practice digital marketing tools, email, social and content marketing campaigns keeping a pulse on competitors digital marketing and new technologies (20%)
• SEM & SEO: drive value out of digital suppliers and manage the day-to-day relationship with Search Engine Marketing (SEM) agency and others to ensure insights and recommendations are implemented. Report SEO results and recommendations (10%)

Qualifications:
• Qualifications in Marketing, Web Technologies, Web Design or Communications

Experience:
• 5+ years digital marketing experience with a large complex organisation B2B marketing experience.

Hands-on experience with the development and delivery and optimisation of external websites

Passion for digital customer experience and online content

Confident in proofing and editing copy and using website CMS

Excellent project management skills to ensure delivery on time, on brief and on budget

Strong stakeholder engagement - management of a wide range of stakeholders to prioritise complex workload often with conflicting deadlines and demands.

Design thinking ability to trouble shoot issues or changes to the design or performance of a digital platform and how to adjust the plan and inform of stakeholders. 

Comfortable working with complex products, services, processes and digital systems.

Ability to gather and translate relevant insights into consistent quality briefs for all communications.

• Experience including reporting and analytics, website optimisation and testing, campaign deployment, SEM & SEO, digital media, and social media

Knowledge:
Essential:
• Knowledge of the New Zealand digital landscape including media, publishers and agencies
• Understanding of and feel for customer needs
