Are you able to translate technical issues or topics via your strong storytelling skills into a clear story for other (non-financial) stakeholders? Then please apply for this fantastic job opportunity in Utrecht.

You and your job

Rabobank is a large organization and is facing challenges continuously. To make the bank more future proof, the Balance Sheet Management (BSM) department is enhancing its scenarios and forecasting capabilities.

BSM is positioned at the heart of the Treasury organization and advises the Managing Board and Asset and Liability Committee on ALM topics. Working on forecasting the balance sheet, you have a clear understanding of the key drivers of our balance sheet and relevant internal and external developments. You use these insights to define scenarios to project our earnings, interest, and funding & liquidity position. Together with the other BSM colleagues you manage a EUR 600 bio+ balance sheet and have a significant impact on the bank’s net profit levels.

Our expertise is the joined knowledge of financial markets, portfolio management, behavioral modeling, and financial engineering. Why? To create a solid and robust position management framework for the bank. To do so, we always seek to deeply understand what is driving our clients and how this interacts with financial markets and balance sheet developments.

Interesting projects you will work on

Projects/questions that you will be working on are about:

  • “How does the current volatile environment impact our balance sheet?”
  • “What happens in case the growth of retail deposits slows down?”
  • “How will deposit migration impact our earnings?”
  • “What impact does inflation have on our funding & liquidity plan?”
  • “What will be the impact of new regulations on our activities?”
