Mergers & Acquisitions
Rabobank’s M&A team advises public companies, large corporates, privately-owned companies and financial sponsors on various types of strategically important transactions. The team has a specific focus on the Dutch market in general and on the Food & Agri sector globally with an enterprise value between EUR 100 million and EUR 2 billion. It has consistently been ranked #1 in the Dutch M&A market and top-3 in the European Food & Agri M&A market by number of transactions for the last 5 years.
Our offices in Utrecht, New York, London, Hong Kong, Singapore, Madrid, Paris, Frankfurt, Sao Paulo and Mumbai span 3 continents and enable us to maintain an active strategic dialogue with our clients globally. We support our clients in cross-border M&A transactions including valuation, buyer selection, due diligence coordination and contract negotiations.
A selection of recent high profile transactions include the public offers on Telegraaf Media Group and TenCate in the Netherlands, the sale of Cargill’s NW European Soy Crushing Activities, the acquisition of Afriflora by Sun from KKR and the acquisition of Weetabix by Post Holdings.
Equity Capital Markets
Rabobank’s ECM team specialises in originating and executing equity capital markets transactions. We offer our clients a full suite of products and services including initial public offerings (IPOs), secondary offerings (e.g. rights issues, accelerated book-build offerings), convertible bond offerings and financial advisory. Rabobank ECM maintains an active strategic dialogue with the vast majority of Dutch-listed companies and its Food & Agri clients globally, as well as with potential listing candidates and financial sponsors who seek to exit their investments through an IPO.
A selection of recent high profile transactions include the IPO of Avantium, Philips Lighting and Dong Energy, the rights issues of Credit Suisse and Delta Lloyd and the international equity raisings of Sunopta, Benchmark and TreeHouse Foods.
