Senior KYC Analyst
The role exists to support the Team Lead of Client Onboarding CIU to create centre of excellence to handle all RANZGs first line responsibilities in the completion, review, maintenance and administration of various compliance activities including:
• Initial and ongoing KYC/ Due Diligence requirements (AML/CTF Act)
• International regulatory requirements including, but not limited to US FATCA, derivatives based regulations, DFA, EMIR, DODD Frank and ASIC across Country Banking, Wholesale, IDB and TRG business lines.
There is increasing regulation impacting RANZG with a greater need to demonstrate a robust framework, the role is to act as the central point of governance for the control of new regulations, initiatives, and projects to deliver efficient and effective implementation within RANZG. This would also involve high engagement of stakeholders across RANZG including all business units notably, Compliance - to ensure effective integration of any new and /or changes to existing regulatory requirements into existing processes minimising impact to clients and front office. This is to develop useful /applicable training and reference guides and act as a first point of contact for regulatory enquires from the front office.
The role is responsible for the services provided and that are carried out in accurate, timely and efficient manner maintaining high standards and contributing to a high level of client satisfaction.
The position must ensure that Operational efficiencies across the customer due diligence process are met throughout the customer lifecycle, RANZG is compliant across all other regulatory facets in addition to aligning business models across departments in Australia and NZ.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
■ Review AML/KYC submissions from Rural branches, IDB, MAC and Wholesale banking to ensure accurate completion/ submissions and the Banks Regulatory Obligations – including but limited to the AML/CTF Act. Where applicable liaise/assist / provide guidance as required with relevant parties.
■ Assist Treasury Rabo Group (TRG) with initial and ongoing regulatory requirements
■ Complete all PEP & Sanctioned Screening requirements.
■ Complete all Transaction Monitoring on behalf of RANZG for the purposes of complying with AML/CTF requirements
■ Undertake the following responsibilities to assist the Bank in complying with FATCA obligations to identify and report on clients who have a US tax obligation:
■ Check that FATCA on boarding forms have been completed accurately and in full
■ Determine the FATCA classification of each customer
■ Prepare and lodge Annual FATCA submissions for reporting purposes on behalf of RANZG
■ Acting on changes to customer information which may indicate a change in US tax payer status
■ Work with Compliance team to develop effective processes with regard to integration of new/ changes to regulations, in addition to developing and maintaining up to date usable information reference guides for use by relevant stakeholders across the bank. Additionally assist in development of appropriate/ relevant training for front office and operations teams to ensure maximum understanding.
■ Act as primary point of contact for front office and operations team for compliance / regulatory enquires, answering queries where possible or seeking answers from compliance where knowledge is limited.
■ Ensuring that the standards are maintained and details are legally accurate and complete as per the legal documentation
■ Establish relationships within key stakeholders across the business and be the contact point for all change initiatives where cross country function exercises are conducted.
■ Develop stakeholder management to ensure operations requirements are met with the implementation and upgrade of new applications and work flows.
■ Develop appropriate management reports to track and measure performance of teams against operational risk controls, volumes, service level agreements and industry standards.
■ Assist and contribute to introduction of new or amended Legislation.

■ Liaise with Third Party suppliers as required to discuss service levels
■ Communication of RANZG policies and procedures and any changes to legislative, regulatory and operational compliance requirements that impact Operations to relevant staff.

Job Skills and Knowledge:
■ Financial banking products in particular Lending, Deposits and cards
■ Code of Banking Practice, AML, FATCA and other Regulatory areas
■ Working experience with Retail back office systems
■ An understanding of banking and finance operations
■ Knowledge of Microsoft applications
■ Ability to influence outcomes across departments
■ Experience with Internet Banking
■ Preferred finance related background
■ Degree qualified
