The Customer Relationship Specialist (CRS) is a member of the Rural Operations team and supports the process of document preparation and closing of Agricultural loans for New Clients, Renewals and Modifications in partnership with the Relationship Manager and Financial Analyst (Customer Team). The Customer Relationship Specialist is responsible for performing uniform task within the nCino /Salesforce Workflow Tool in addition to variable task which are unique to the specific deal.
The Customer Relationship Specialist (CRS) Teams will be aligned to and support a specific Territory, Region and portfolio of loans. Leveraging the established policies and procedures, the CRS will remain assigned to the customer loan package within nCino from application through booking.
Customer Relationship Specialist (CRS) maintain and strengthen the ongoing business relationship with external clients, after the Booking process, to act as a liaison with Loan Maintenance request, such as but not limited to: client requested Draws, Advances, billing and payment inquiries, wire request and other documentation needs. Some minimal travel may be necessary to support the business client relationship and/or Closing Team training.
Customer Relationship Specialist abides by commercial policies and relevant regulations, in order to optimally support the lending process and enable Relationship Managers and Financial Analysts to focus on their respective core functions. Customer Relationship Specialist uses judgement and business acumen to organize and execute responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
Overall responsibility is to own the customer loan package from application through booking, manage the coordination and delivery of a complete loan documentation package reflecting the borrower’s needs and support the ongoing relationship with external clients as a liaison for loan maintenance request. Expectations include, but are not limited to:
Create and manage the loan package with excellent and consistent quality within the nCino Workflow Tool.
Requests, reviews and enters all non-financial customer information such as driver’s licenses and entity documents; orders and reviews good standings, title commitments/opinions, flood determinations and UCC searches; review of appraisals.
Participate in Customer Team meetings to coordinate and share details, options and solutions to accomplish the goals of specific clients and loans.
Review and verify all requests have been completed related to the Client Onboarding requirements.
Reviews loan approvals for approval conditions and prepares loan documents; reviews the appraisal approval and drafts any other necessary collateral documents to insure required level of perfection.
Send finalized closing documentation for client execution, obtain and upload executed documentation into source system.
Communicates directly with title companies/closing media, borrower, internal and external legal staff.
Preparation of Funding instructions to ensure proper booking activities are executed.
Analyzes chattel and real estate collateral lien position during the loan application period, and report potential issues and provide solutions that may impact RAF’s lien priority.
Post-Closing follow-up related to receipt of required trailing documentation, funding and booking validation as needed.
Maintain and support the ongoing external client relationship to act as a liaison with Loan Maintenance request.
Completion of Extension Letters, Partial Release requests, Subordination Agreements and review Payment Suspense reporting.
Validate Flood and Non-Flood Insurance requirements are met.
Participates in internal or external strategic projects at the request of the Closing Manager.
Ensure regulatory requirements have been satisfied.
Some minimal travel may be necessary to support the business client relationship and/or Closing Team training.
Complete all mandatory training
Comply with code of conduct and Bank policies/ procedures
Actively identify incidents outside of established policies and procedures and report to management immediately
Must be familiar with and comply with laws, regulations and internal policies and procedures that are applicable to required job duties.
Understands and complies with all Rabobank anti-money laundering, compliance, and all other applicable laws.
Customer Relationship Specialist shall have no delegated signing authority unless otherwise provided in accordance with RDS policies.

Job Skills and Knowledge:
Working knowledge of general loan documentation and legal entity structures, a strong level of understanding of collateral perfection.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, or government regulations. Ability to write reports and business correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the bank.
Accept the responsibility for quality control of the functions and processes necessary and coordinate diplomatically all team, RDS and contract personnel in the loan process to meet the customer agreed upon timelines.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as interest accrual and percentages.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of situations.
Priority and ownership along with excellent time management skills.
Ability to assist Managing Director in meeting the business goals through delivering key drivers assigned to this function.
Associate’s Degree and/or 1 – 5 years of experience or Bachelor’s Degree with 0-2 years of experience in an ag-related study, Business Administration, Finance or Marketing and agricultural lending and/or banking environment or comparable experience.
Previous Commercial loan processing and documentation, and/or legal experience preferred.
Prior experience in complex problem solving.
Ability to work as a team member across business lines.
Computer proficiency with MS Word, Outlook and Excel required.
Must possess good human relations and communication skills and ability to exercise good judgment. Needs to be able to work well under time constraints.
Have knowledge of diversified production agriculture and livestock enterprises. Experienced in understanding complex loan and organizational structures.
Experienced in loan documentation including the perfection of liens primarily on crops, livestock, inventory, machinery, real property, and real estate in assigned territory.
Satisfactory completion of RDS compliance training and other courses assigned.
