Job Overview/Purpose: 

Client Support Officer (“CSO”) Rural analyst will support the Rural Relationship Management team in the pre-closing, closing and post-closing of a transaction. The CSO will engage directly with customers and/or prospects to gather information. The CSO will enter the details of the transaction in various systems and forms to prepare for booking and funding. After closing, CSO Analyst is responsible for monitoring all actions that are required to maintain the portfolio of transactions.

The CSO Analyst will be responsible for: 

Support collecting documents required for performing CIP, Know Your Customer (KYC) and entering this information in client management systems coordinating the internal approval process and external documentation process (including doc review) for new transactions, renewals and amendments; Process transactions into appropriate forms to prepare for Booking, Funding and Servicing maintaining a direct dialogue with Relationship Management, Global Service Center, Operations, Compliance, Legal and Credit regarding transaction deals, operational issues and upcoming amendments coordinate timelines for Closing transactions with all stakeholders create a client service environment liaise with members of Rabobank Canada and Support teams (Operations (incl. Client On Boarding and Global Service Center), Compliance, Risk, Legal and Finance) to ensure an efficient, effective and sustainable support model for our franchise

As an integral part of a small team the candidate will need to be both a good team player as well as be able to “problem solve” without much supervision and in general be able to “get things done”. The candidate should have excellent written and verbal skills, ability to absorb change, detail oriented and ability to multitask.

Context of Job: 

The CSO role is part of the team to grow the Rabobank market presence by growing the Canadian rural agricultural market. This position will be expected to help build the business from the ground up while leveraging existing North American and global Rabobank expertise. 

The CSO will assist the front office in all pre and closing phases of every transaction. Will interface with key stakeholders in Compliance, Client Onboarding and others to ensure we meet the Bank’s objectives.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities (indicative only): 

  • Perform administrative duties of Rural transactions/books

  • Input/maintain facilities information in Electronic Term Sheet System (ETS) or equivalent, ensuring accurate information

  • Coordinate funding with TRG

  • Coordinate/provide booking instructions (ex. Rollovers, Draws/Payments) to the back office (ex. Loan and Trade Departments) if needed

  • Coordinate and prepare the KYC process, including completion of Due Diligence requirements, for Onboarding, periodic reviews, and EDRs of Clients. Input of all applicable information into the Client Onboarding tool.

  • Maintain/update procedures

  • Prepare ad-hoc reports

  • 2-3 years of experience in similar functions or related education.


  • Knowledge of credit products, derivatives, swaps, loan structures.
